Assessment criteria (Theory & Practical Test)

Theory - May do either a written or oral test. Practical - Will involve a series of oral questions prior to doing the actual drive.

Practical assessment criteria:

  • The working capacity of their fork lift truck
  • The conditions of operating a fork lift in their workplace
  • The features of the fork lift
  • How to safely drive a fork lift
  • Pre - checks
  • Maintenance checks
  • Parking procedures

FEES

  • Full course, usually for new drivers, includes 6 hours of training and 3 hours of assessment is $480;
  • Partial course, usually for experienced drivers, includes 4 hours of training and 3 hours of assessment is $380.
  • Assessment only $240.
  • WorkCover Authority Forklift Licence Fee is $65 applies to all courses.
